(206) 722-3009 The Columbia City Theater was built in 1917 and is the oldest vaudeville theater in the state of Washington. Having played a major role in the Seattle Jazz boom in the 40′s, the theater played host to the likes of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Fats Waller. Later on during the 60′s the theater began hosting live events once more and is reportedly one of the first venues that the legendary Jimi Hendrix performed in. (206) 652-4255 Town Hall is conveniently located at Eighth Avenue and Seneca Street. Town Hall’s location offers easy access to and from the I-5 freeway. There is a large pay lot immediately adjacent to Town Hall; enter the parking lot from Seventh Avenue, Spring or Seneca Streets. The Washington State Convention Center Main Garage is located 2 blocks north of Town Hall on 8th Ave. This garage is available both daytime ($8 all day) and evenings ($4 after 5pm) with a special voucher you can get from Town Hall. Just ask a member of the Town Hall staff for a voucher while you are here attending an event and receive the discount when you leave the garage.
